We are the champions...
Okay - so two big things to definitely write about today. First off, I apologize for not posting last night. But I was at the Colts Superbowl party at the RCA dome here in Indy! We didn't bother to stand out in the single-digit temperatures waiting for the parade so we headed over to the dome to get good seats for the real party. We ended up near the front of the upper level. Sat there and waited and waited for the team to arrive, but it was worth it. It was exciting to see the Lombardi trophy in real life and it was neat to hear the players speak. It was definitely a great time. Hopefully we can do it again next year. That being said we didn't get home until late and I was already only going on about 4 hours of sleep because we were up late the night before celebrating our victory over the Bears. Sorry Bears fans (although I know this might hurt us a little next week at the Zebra Ball - lots of great Bears stuff up for auction).
Second - I'm stranded at work! The snow has been coming down hard now for about 7 hours and I'm not exactly sure how much is out there but the roads are in terrible condition. Brian left work a little over two hours ago and is still not home. So I've decided to not bother with it (it's already 7:30 local time) - and just stay overnight at work. Lucky for me - I work at a hotel. I already have a room and free meal waiting for me. I even got a free t-shirt to sleep in.
I'm bummed that I'm not at home though. I really wanted to post some of our pictures from the Superbowl party on my website. But perhaps later this week I'll get a chance. I was also supposed to have my real hair appointment tonight. I mean the first one since I had my hair cutting party back in June of last year. My hair certainly isn't long, but it definitely needs to be trimmed up for some real style. Gotta look hot for the Zebra Ball this weekend. I can't believe it is only 4 days away! I'm very excited but getting a little more nervous as the day approaches. My speech is written but I have not practiced it as much as I would have liked to. I think I'll do that tonight as there won't be much else to do. I certainly won't be doing any work. I've done enough of that lately.
If you're anxious to hear my speech you'll have to attend the Zebra Ball because I certainly won't be doing it twice. haha. Actually I've already decided that I'll post it on the website next week for all to read (no sneak-previews allowed).
Okay, I need to get some dinner - I apologize that I have to cut this short but next week's read will be real good so stay tuned.
